Increased Activity = Reduced Dementia Risk?

Increased Activity = Reduced Dementia Risk?

Increased Activity = Reduced Dementia Risk?

We've been fascinated by the study published recently (BBC Report here) that shows a clear link between lack of physical activity and the development of Alzheimers.

We all know that staying fit and healthy is good for us, but this research shows how taking action now can help future generations of people and their families avoid the suffering that this dreadful disease can cause. Some of the main ‘modifiable risk factors’ are physical inactivity (and obesity), poor diet and smoking. Yes, it’s hard to change the habits of a lifetime, but it’s not impossible. We think it’s time we educated ourselves about what we eat, how we stay active and how we maintain a healthy brain. There is a wealth of information on the internet to guide us, and with today’s older generation being the most tech savvy ever, there has never been a better reason to get out there and live life!
